About the Event
Runners are invited to take on a brand new challenge in the heart of Mid Wales this summer as the Wild Wolf of Radnor trail race launches on 17 August. This inaugural 10-mile event will take place in the rugged and remote beauty of the Radnor Forest, raising funds for the Special Care Baby Unit in Hereford.
The race takes its name from local legend, which claims the last wolf in Wales was shot in these very woods. Organisers are promising a wild and rewarding experience through some of the most spectacular scenery the region has to offer. The route offers a tough but scenic tour of forestry roads, open moorland and twisting, tree-covered singletrack.
From a gentle downhill start, the course soon climbs steeply and rewards those who persevere with panoramic views of the Brecon Beacons, Cadair Idris and the Long Mynd. The route reaches its highest point at…
